ABSTRACT
This chapter is simply a compilation of information on world lubricant market and list of major lubricant marketing companies and base oils refineries in the world. The information is provided to get a feel on the volume and values in the lubricant industries. Regarding wax market, to date it is not that much explicit market unlike lubricant, but for information, it may be mentioned there are three major refineries in India producing a total of about 130, 000 MT of waxes from mineral oil sources; in the world, China, South Korea, Latin American countries also are major producers of waxes.
