ABSTRACT
Wireless communication has changed the social fabric of humanity like no other technology. In a few decades, it has marched steadily into the fourth generation and is preparing to appear in its new avatar the 5G. While the world is reeling under accelerating download speeds from 2G to 4G, researchers around the globe have already started preparing the roadmap for 5G. 5G is required to scale down cost and power and also provide faster mobile broadband with uniform QoS. In developing countries, a good percentage of cell sites are beyond power grid. They require renewable energy. Several mobility conditions are required to be included which 5G is going to support high mobility, dense environments, indoors, virtually everywhere.
