ABSTRACT
This chapter introduces a new state space LRD teletraffic model. The new model is a finite-dimensional representation, i. e., truncated, of the ARFIMA process. One of the advantages of the state space modeling is the possibility of using the Kalman filter for on-line prediction of future values of teletraffic signals.
