ABSTRACT

People management is the oldest form of management. The word “management” itself contains the word “man”, representing the human beings right at the beginning of the word. People can be sourced either from within the organization or from outside. Once human resources are sourced and are allocated to us, we need to induct them into our department. When people come to work, they typically have two primary objectives, namely, to earn a livelihood for them and their loved ones by performing the work assigned to be able to receive their paycheck and learn or develop their skill sets that can be traded in the future. Team morale is extremely important if the work is to be executed effectively. Managers are uniquely positioned in the organization for spotting talent for leadership in the juniors.
