ABSTRACT

People leave the best of the organizations for various reasons. People get better opportunities elsewhere with higher pay or rank and leave the organization. People leave organizations for personal reasons to be close to their relatives or properties they own or for health reasons to be in a suitable environment or any other such compelling reason. Planned attrition refers to those people whose departure from the organization is predictable. Unplanned attrition refers to those people whose departure from the organization is unpredictable. The activities for the fleeing employee is similar to that of the employee who resorted to dirty resignation. The activities of relieving a retiring person are similar to that of an employee going out with a clean resignation.
