ABSTRACT

Capacity planning is a strategic decision. It is carried out at the time of setting up the organization initially. Capacity planning is determining the capability to deliver products or services and the rate of delivery to organizational customers. In organizations, work is performed at multiple workstations with each workstation having a different but definite capacity. When temporary expansion of capacity is required the first option to look at is taking stress by the organizational human resources. Ancillaries are facilities dedicated to executing the work of a large principal organization. Excess capacity results in, mainly due to imperatives of line balancing and some excess capacity becomes inevitable. Software testing is part of software quality assurance which includes three aspects, namely, the software verification, independent validation and standards. Training department takes ownership for bridging the identified training needs.
