ABSTRACT

Raising and raiding are two popular strategies for acquiring human resources for the organization. Raising strategy involves recruiting people right out of the educational institutions and then train them for the responsibilities to be shouldered by them. Raiding strategy involves recruiting experienced human resources from other organizations carrying out similar work. Recruiting raw talent right out of the educational institutions and training them to shoulder the responsibilities of our organization has its own advantages and disadvantages. Organizations at the mature stage have long history and would have adequate talent pool that can absorb raw talent. Educational institutions are the only source from where we can recruit when our strategy is raising our own human resources.
