ABSTRACT

One of the most accepted measure of research progress is based on publications. These are essential for the recognition of the researchers and for them to receive accolades. These are also required to report to granting bodies and other stakeholders.

Good research does not automatically get published; it requires significant effort to write the manuscript that communicates the outcomes to the target audience. The impact of the research is only realised when the novel work is appropriately communicated to the correct audience. This chapter discusses some methods that can help early stage researchers to improve their chances of getting published.
