ABSTRACT

Typical research projects have experiments and analysis as key components. While many of these will require recording of data, some will be reliant on the database generated by others. What is essential is that the outcome of the research should be reproducible and verifiable. In most cases, statistical analysis is performed on the results to test the significance of the results. Planning to ensure that the results are statistically significant is an important step in the design of the project. This chapter introduces you to this topic and provides you with the basics that may be useful in the experiment design and result analysis.
