ABSTRACT
Mathematical models remain theoretical constructs as bodies without souls until they are injected with life by being applied and proven to work in the real world. The maximum curvature theory which forms the basis of the euthyroid set point has a sound rationale and logical appeal. It actually predicts the individualized euthyroid set points of thyroid patients with a certain level of precision. It is unfortunate that the concept of titrating thyroid medications to a personalized set point is as yet largely unknown if not unheard of. Physicians follow present guidelines which continue to promulgate treatment targeted at population ranges of [TSH]. A desktop version of the Thyroid-SPOT software was developed a few years ago. This uses the algorithm authors jointly co-developed which has been patented. The desktop version is presently being licensed for use in some thyroid research projects.
