ABSTRACT
Gas carriers, gas tankers, liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) carriers, or LPG tankers are a type of ship designed to transport LPG, liquefied natural gas (LNG), compressed natural gas (CNG), or liquefied chemical gases in bulk. In this chapter, we will discuss the main types of gas carriers, briefly cover the main principles of the gas carrier code, and health and safety-related issues when working on gas carriers.
