Tugboats are an essential utility vessel, which are found around the world. Their unique size and strength capabilities make tugboats an interesting yet unusual type of ship. In this chapter, we will explore deep-sea and oceangoing tugs, harbour tugs, river tugs, salvage tugs and tenders, and their unique propulsion systems.
