ABSTRACT
The oldest method of measuring the water status of plants is in terms of water content as percentage of fresh weight or dry weight. But generally, moisture content of soil is expressed on dry weight basis (denominator is dry weight) and moisture content of plants, grains and organic manure is expressed in fresh weight basis (denominator is fresh weight). Since, moisture content determination in soil has already been discussed, water content determination of plants, grain and organic manures will not be discussed in this chapter.
