ABSTRACT
The integration of smart education practices can contribute to the overall smartness of a city, particularly in the scenario of the COVID-19 pandemic, which has pressured educational institutions to accelerate the adoption of technology. Smart education leverages technology to enhance the learning experience and improve educational outcomes, integrating various technologies such as Internet of Things (IoT) to create an immersive and interactive learning environment. This chapter provides an overview of the benefits and challenges of integrating IoT into the curriculum and educational environment, as well as already implemented tools and a tool for adaptive learning. IoT has the potential to address a variety of modes, objectives, subjects, and perspectives in education.
