ABSTRACT
We studied the history of the 3D printing sector in this chapter in very brief detail. With an emphasis on open-source consumer 3D printer technology, this chapter takes you on a quick tour of 3D printing history. The most intriguing aspect of this chapter is how many important items for biological professions are being created every day by the researchers using 3D printing, as well as the prospective areas that need improvement.
