ABSTRACT

The design engineer may automatically choose a metallic material when selecting a custom-machined component for a project. This chapter aims to educate readers about machined polymers and composites as a more practical substitute for precisely machined, very durable components. Let’s look at the advantages of using plastic over more conventional metal materials for precise components. Also, this chapter explains how to troubleshoot the 3D printer as well as the post curing method of the printed parts.
