ABSTRACT
The work environment is extremely complex and variable. It’s impossible to discuss each scenario, in each Institution with each combination of players. Photocopy/scan/photo all your official hard copy documents, e.g. Term Assessments, Overtime forms, Leave forms. In other words, file all documents related to your work, or anything else that’ll affect your life, especially if it were to go wrong. The government, which doesn’t exactly work regular night shifts, and has Parliament kitchens open when they do, does know about them, at least some of the practicalities. And also the constant enquiries regarding the health of your colleagues who are on that week, with more than a little personal interest.
