ABSTRACT
Offshore supply vessels are often said to be the most dangerous when it comes to cargo operations. The most common types of cargo carried by these special-purpose vessels are containers (of different sizes and heights), chemicals, explosives, radioactive materials, large tubulars, and heavy lifts of irregular shapes and sizes. In this chapter, we will discuss the main principles for the safe handling, stowage, and carriage of cargo on offshore supply vessels.
