ABSTRACT
Every cargo is special to its shipper or carrier; however, there is no cargo, which is more special than dangerous cargo! But what exactly is a dangerous cargo? Why is it so important and what are the regulations set in place to facilitate its handling, stowage, and carriage? In this chapter, we will answer these important questions as we examine the safe handling, stowage, and carriage of IMDG cargo.
