ABSTRACT
Carbon capture and storage is seen as an effective interim way of overcoming the output of carbon dioxide into the atmosphere from the major manufacturers of construction materials. However, the sequestering of carbon by the growing of hemp which can then be converted into useful building materials such as cement or insulation is ultimately more ecologically friendly.
