ABSTRACT
Transportation is a key consideration for manufacturers of large modular construction units, particularly where delivery is required to tight urban sites. Large units are necessarily craned into position on site. The construction of high rise buildings incorporating modular construction necessarily requires the use of a tower crane; although single storey and low rise modular units can be located using lorry-based transportable cranes.
