ABSTRACT
The emergence of SARS-CoV-2 in late 2019 and the ensuing Covid-19 pandemic has changed the landscape for new doctors entering the profession today. The interlude briefly recounts the author’s redeployment to ICU in early 2020 and explains that the remaining topics in the book including end of life care, doctor wellbeing and career wayfinding need to be considered in the changed context in which we now find ourselves.
