ABSTRACT
This chapter is one of the artist gallery chapters. In this chapter, the works of Aian Cheng, Matteo Zamagni, and Rebecca Allen are discussed and linked to concepts introduced in the technical chapters. Included are discussions of each artist’s inspirations, drives, and histories that feed into their work. Due to the technical nature of virtual reality, much of this also includes discussions on their technical expertise as well as their conceptual interests. After introducing the artists, we discuss their works, including Entropy Wrangler, Nature Abstraction, Aether, Communion, Life without Matter, Inside, and The Tangle of Mind and Matter.
