ABSTRACT

Recent developments in nanotechnology have made it necessary to acquire new SNM with multiple functions. Nanomaterials have exceptional physio-chemical properties because of their small size, including increased reactivity and higher absorption, a larger surface area, lower molar extinction coefficients, tunable plasmonic properties, quantum effects, and magnetic and photocatalytic properties. In this regard, manufacturing industry, bio-medical industry, energy harvesting applications, photocatalytic applications, textile industry, catalytic applications and many more industries have been benefited from SNM. Although there are tremendous developments in SNM, there is a great risk in the exposure of nanomaterials in the environment and accumulation of nanoparticles in the human body.
