ABSTRACT

Signal can be defined as a function of independent variables which is able to convey information. Similarly, electroencephalogram (EEG) signals measure electrical activity of the brain. In signal processing, the mathematical models are used to represent the signals. If the parameters of these models are constant with respect to the time, then such kind of signals are known as stationary signals. The signal associated with one variable is termed as single-channel signal. On the other hand, the signal associated with multi-variables is known as multi-channel signal. Impulse function can be defined with the help of other functions which has unit area and in limiting approach, functions tend to become an impulse. Such signals include, Gaussian, sinc, wavelet, pulse, etc.
