ABSTRACT

This chapter covers the correct and realistic definitions of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning that have been generated by the scientists who originally created these technologies. Currently, in science and engineering, it is quite important to provide these correct and realistic definitions of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning since recently some of the engineers have provided definitions of these technologies that are only their incorrect personal definitions and do not have much to do with the facts and reality of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning. It seems that such incorrect definitions of such engineers must have to do with their incorrect use and application of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning to solve engineering-related and physics-based problems. It should make sense that the correct and actual definitions of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning cannot be fully understood without covering the definitions of these four words: “Artificial”, “Intelligence”, “Machine”, and “Learning”. A correct understanding of the realistic definitions of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning is incredibly important to fully understand the Artificial Intelligence of Science and Engineering.
