ABSTRACT
This chapter focuses on energy-related issues and their importance in the modern world. The issues considered included the impact of energy on the socio-economic development, which—in the opinion of the authors—is one of the most important problems of the modern world economy. The impact of energy on the environment is also discussed in detail. Close attention has been paid to creative and innovative approaches to the issues of modern energy in modern societies and economies, which is an extremely important issue in the face of the energy crisis of the modern world. This chapter also attempts to analyse the energy sector in the face of dynamic socio-economic and environmental changes taking place in the global world during the 21st century.
