ABSTRACT
People are the most important part of business, whether it be customers, staff, suppliers. To be truly successful, the business must harness the full potential of all its natural talent. The people must believe in the vision and the strategy on how to achieve the company’s objectives at the same time as the individual achieves theirs. The tools of industry 4.0 can only be used effectively if they are applied in the correct strategic areas of the business which will make a positive difference to the culture and the bottom line. Japanese management techniques have been shown to be superior to western management methods and in the world of the latest industry 4.0 tools the lean framework established in Japan is fundamental.
