ABSTRACT
This chapter will detail what is required during the initial stage of the design process; defining new technological concepts and outlining their requirements. This is an important starting point as it provides an understanding of the context of use that technologies will need to perform within. It will also recognise the interrelating agents and factors surrounding the integration of new technologies within operating systems.
