ABSTRACT
Blockchain technology is presently at the center of the supply chain management industry and has successfully provided robust solutions for the industry. In this chapter, a comprehensive framework and application of the framework are displayed in detail to provide a roadmap to understanding the use and importance of blockchain-based solutions in the supply chain management industry. Six major global industries are included in the discussion global car and automobile manufacturing, global fruit and vegetable processing, global pharmaceutical and medicine manufacturing, global sugar manufacturing, global cheese manufacturing, and global cosmetics manufacturing. The evolution of global business has created an increasingly complex, interconnected, and volatile business environment that increases vulnerabilities and makes it more critical than ever for supply chain management to be flexible, resilient, and adaptable. Operational efficiency is another advantage of the blockchain technology application in supply chain management.
