ABSTRACT
Chapter 2 entails the impact of EWEs on critical infrastructure. Global and Indian responses to climate change and the impact of EWEs on the healthcare infrastructure are identified through the literature and expert opinions. The chapter concludes with the need to place resilience over response and a review of the national disaster response policies. The need for capacity building and supplementing knowledge of infrastructure and community is highlighted through this chapter.
