ABSTRACT
The fourth chapter outlines an overview of the public health systems in India and their functioning, access, and preparedness. This leads to a detailed review of the role of government in public health, along with the problems and current status of public healthcare availability and accessibility in the country. The chapter therefore closes in on the impact of EWEs on public healthcare facilities and how these facilities and health outcomes can be improved.
