ABSTRACT

The final chapter of the book highlights the significance of resilience in healthcare structures in the wake of an extreme weather event. The cost of destruction caused to a healthcare facility/critical infrastructure can be used as the loss potential in case of an EWE/disaster. This amount may or may not reduce. However, the impact of an EWE on services can be reduced, thereby influencing the ability of the healthcare infrastructure to make medical care and availability of aid more effective.
