ABSTRACT

The Renaissance was a fervent period of European cultural, artistic, political, and economic rebirth following the Middle Ages. The Signature theory is a medical theory that dates back to antiquity and means that plants that look like a specific organ in our body have the ability to cure diseases in this specific organ. Among the persons that were very engaged in developing the details in the Signature theory is the Middle Ages Swiss doctor Paracelsus.

During this era, science and real in-depth knowledge about the human body and its function were built.

The period was also called the Age of Exploration and was a period from the early 15th century and continued into the early 17th century, during which European ships traveled around the world to search for new trading routes and partners to feed burgeoning capitalism in Europe.
