ABSTRACT
This chapter contributes to power system protection and is dedicated to modeling various systems and configurations used in substation grounding. Different available theoretical approaches will be analyzed and compared for this specific purpose. The model includes all influence factors, such as short-circuit level, soil resistivity, electrode type, size, materials, and configuration. This chapter analyzes and discusses the various ways of soil resistivity measurements.
