ABSTRACT
The description of fuses and circuit breakers, types, and specifications are discussed in this chapter. The chapter includes an introduction to the construction and working of a fuse, the characteristics of a fuse, and fuses applications. Also, the chapter discusses high-voltage circuit breakers. A directional overcurrent time protection design using Lucas-Nülle GmbH power system/SCADA network devices is explained.
