ABSTRACT
This chapter forms an introduction to the broad topic of the book. It speaks of historical events. It discusses the basic concepts such as a threat actor. It is explained why cybersecurity becomes so important, in fact, crucial in today’s societies. It laid out how cybersecurity is a technology but also a policy, and an international security issue. Cybersecurity is for all – for the typical user or person, but its role is also very important in business, State, and even interstate matters. This forms the necessary preface for the book.
