ABSTRACT

This chapter introduces the climatic system, which comprises the atmosphere, hydrosphere, cryosphere, lithosphere, and biosphere. Weather, by comparison, constitutes temperature, moisture, wind velocity, and barometric pressure. Different factors that affect and change our climate are described. Details are given about the emission of greenhouse gases and their effects. Global warming and its effects are discussed. Following these explanations, the effects of these different changes on agriculture, terrestrial and aquatic animals, plant germination, and their growth are discussed in detail. These changes not only affect the physical structure of animals and plants, but they also impact the hematological and biochemical parameters. A comparison of the production of greenhouse gases from different animals per year is given in detail. The method for estimating the production of greenhouse gases from animals is also described. The variations in the adaptability of animals to climatic changes are detailed, with an explanation of the superior adaptability of camels to these global changes.
