ABSTRACT
This section provides data on floor screeds and toppings commonly used in commercial and industrial building types. For the purposes of this document, a screed is defined as a layer of cement:sand or other material laid on the structural floor to receive another finish such as carpet or tiles, A topping is defined as a layer of high strength concrete which provides the wearing surface to a concrete base.
