ABSTRACT
In many situations, we are interested in measuring some kind of differences or similarity between objects, such as - measuring perceptual colour difference between colour samples. In this regard fuzzy metrics can be good candidates to evaluate such a measurement. On the other hand, fuzzy fixed point the- orems found to be most suitable tool in solving various problems concerning fuzzy integral and differential equations. The present chapter focuses on the applicability of various types of fuzzy metric and corresponding fixed point theorems in solving problems occurred in image processing and applied mathematics.
