ABSTRACT
In the crude oil distillation process, kerosene is a co-product with naphtha, gasoline, diesel and fuel oil and therefore competes internally with these products. Worldwide sales of JET A-1 are now based on supply contracts with a special pricing formula to reflect market price movements for 290 million metric tons per year for longer-term deliveries. The SAF market is a new market that is currently organised under different premises. For aviation, it is important that the new SAF suppliers are as reliable as the oil companies that have been supplying aviation fuel for more than 70 years.
