ABSTRACT

Architecture Centricity is an enabler and a well-established design principle. While the other MAP enablers are not highlighted to the same extent, Architecture Centricity is highlighted because of the particular emphasis it receives in MAP. The architecture should flow down to all that follows, providing guidelines, principles (e.g., architecture centricity), imperatives, and a unifying vision that are traceable through design and implementation because of the active semantic chain (see the Active Semantic Chain section). This broad purpose is included explicitly or implicitly in the standard definitions of architecture such as the following:
