ABSTRACT
This chapter discusses the concept of energy and introduces kinetic, potential, and total energy. The concepts of linear and angular momentum are also introduced and the conservation laws for energy, linear and angular momentum are demonstrated. After introducing the concept of degree of freedom, a final bonus section discusses the energy in a gas and derives the famous state equation for a perfect gas.
