ABSTRACT
Given that usability is a multidimensional phenomenon, multiple factors can impact usability, such as a user’s previous knowledge, emotional state, and health literacy level. These are considered individual usability determinants. There are also contextual usability determinants, which include time and the usefulness of the health information technology (HIT). Because usability is affected under different conditions, it must continuously be researched using formative and summative methods.
