ABSTRACT

This chapter explains the contributions listed below. (1) Equivalent motion equation for class V fractional vibrators. (2) The quasiequivalent damping, quasiequivalent damping ratio, quasiequivalent damping free natural frequency, quasiequivalent damped natural frequency, quasiequivalent frequency ratio, quasiequivalent logarithmic decrement, and quasiequivalent Q factor for fractional vibrators in class V. (3) The phenomenon that the quasiequivalent damping of a fractional vibrator in class V may vary from 0 to ∞. (4) A mathematical explanation of a variation of the Rayleigh damping that is proportional to stiffness only. (5) The analytic expressions of free response, impulse response, step response, and frequency transfer function of a fractional vibrator in class V.
