ABSTRACT
This chapter discusses the contributions in three folds. (1) Equivalent motion equation of a beam with fractional coordinates regarding longitudinal vibrations. (2) The analytic representation of the general solution of the free response to the longitudinal vibration of a beam with fractional coordinates. (3) Such a beam may suffer from self-vibrations, replying on the value of fractional order.
