ABSTRACT
This chapter discusses time-frequency analysis of encountered wave signal for studying vibration responses of a marine structure. The results in this chapter exhibit that the Hilbert-Huang transform-based time-frequency distribution (TFD) of encountered wave signal has satisfactory resolution in comparison with those obtained from the traditional methods, such as short-time Fourier transform, wavelet transform TFD, and Choi-Williams TFD.
