Vibrations of Distributed Systems and Euler-Bernoulli Beam

This chapter expounds the vibrations of beams in two aspects. One is the longitudinal vibrations of beams and the other lateral vibrations. The latter focuses on Euler–Bernoulli beams, which play a role in ship hull vibrations. The latter is also fundamental for fractional Euler–Bernoulli beams discussed in Chapters 17–27.
