ABSTRACT
There are three primary categories of solar photovoltaic (PV) systems with accompanying battery storage: grid-tied, grid/hybrid, and off-grid. They each have their own set of benefits and drawbacks and, ultimately, the decision will boil down to the customer’s existing energy source and the outcomes they hope to achieve from using the system.
