ABSTRACT

Global climate change has now become a familiar phrase that evokes an acute sense of urgency. According to NASA, human actions have led to irreversible effects on planet earth. Unless we find ways to reduce the continual addition of atmospheric gases that trap heat, deleterious conditions that result from rising temperatures on earth are on a steady course to get worse. The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), which analyzes scientific data about climate change, contends that the current rate of relatively rapid global warming is unprecedented. Furthermore, scientists predict that this trend of steadily rising temperatures will continue. This is an unacceptable risk.
